VNPT-IT at DigiFest Dong Nai 2026: From strategic consulting to practical digital solutions implementation

Participating in DigiFest Dong Nai 2026 held from 30/10 to 01/11/2026, VNPT-IT made a strong impression with a variety of prominent activities, from strategic consulting on Long Thanh airport urban development and sharing grassroots digital transformation models to showcasing an ecosystem of practical technology solutions. Thereby, it continued to reaffirm VNPT's role as a trusted partner in promoting digital transformation, innovation, and digital economic development in the locality.

DigiFest Dong Nai 2026 is an event that brings together regulatory authorities, experts, scientists, and technology enterprises to exchange orientations, share experiences, and introduce digital transformation solutions, contributing to creating new growth momentum for the locality.

Within the framework of the event, VNPT-IT participated in numerous key professional activities, focusing on three consistent orientations: creating a digital infrastructure foundation for urban development, promoting digital transformation from the commune/ward level, and applying new technologies to solve practical socio-economic problems.

Creating a digital foundation for Long Thanh airport urban area

One of the key topics shared by VNPT-IT at DigiFest Dong Nai 2026 was the orientation of building digital infrastructure to serve the development of Long Thanh airport urban area, aiming towards establishing a smart, modern, and sustainable urban ecosystem.

At the strategic seminar on 30/10, Mr. Pham Huy Hoang – General Director of VNPT-IT presented a paper entitled “Digital Foundations for Long Thanh Airport Urban Area”, proposing an urban development approach based on core technology platforms, including Cloud Native cloud computing, data and artificial intelligence (AI), information security, Digital Twin, and data centers.

According to the shared orientation, the development of an airport urban area not only requires synchronized investment in transport infrastructure, logistics, and services, but also a digital infrastructure platform robust enough to effectively connect, integrate, and exploit data sources. This is a crucial factor that helps enhance governance capacity, optimize operations, and create room for developing new services and economic models.

Earlier, Mr. Le Xuan Son – Deputy General Director of VNPT-IT participated in a field survey delegation to the Long Thanh Airport area, contributing to aligning technology directions with local development conditions and practical needs.

Promoting digital transformation at the grassroots level, creating momentum for digital economic development

Alongside strategic orientations, VNPT-IT particularly emphasized the role of digital transformation at the commune/ward level, where technology platforms directly serve state administrative activities, citizens, and businesses.

At the DigiFest Dong Nai High-Level Forum 2026 on 31/10, representative of VNPT-IT, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Chung presented a paper on digital transformation solutions for communes/wards linked with driving local digital economic development.

The presentation focused on a comprehensive digital transformation approach, taking digital government as the foundation, data as the resource, and the digital economy as the driving force for development. In this regard, digital transformation does not stop at applying technology to administrative activities, but needs to bring about substantive changes in management methods, public service provision, production and business support, and enhancing people's quality of life.

Also within the framework of the forum, Mr. Le Xuan Son – Deputy General Director of VNPT-IT participated in the discussion session "Developing digital transformation associated with science, technology, and innovation – Turning potential into driving force". Together with experts and representatives of management agencies, the leadership of VNPT-IT discussed solutions to promote technology application, transforming innovative potential into tangible socio-economic value.

The topics discussed reflected the consistent viewpoint of VNPT-IT: digital transformation must stem from practical needs, be deployed synchronously from the grassroots level, and take the efficiency of serving people and businesses as the benchmark.

Bringing UAV, AI, and spatial data into green economic development

At the thematic session on the orientation for Dong Nai's digital economy development on the afternoon of 31/10, Mr. Pham Dac Bao – Director of VNPT UAV Lab introduced the VNPT UAV ecosystem along with technology applications in natural resources, environment, agriculture management, and urban development.

Combining unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), artificial intelligence (AI), geospatial data, and digital management platforms, the VNPT UAV ecosystem enables the collection, analysis, and exploitation of data to serve resource monitoring, land-use change detection, forest management, crop tracking, and precision agriculture development.

Notably, data from survey and monitoring activities are integrated onto the VNPT Geospatial Data Platform, aiming to form a shared spatial database that supports management agencies in enhancing the efficiency of coordination, monitoring, and decision-making.

Connecting spatial data with the VNPT Green digital agriculture platform also opens up capabilities for planting zone management, production process monitoring, traceability, and resource optimization. This is considered a technology application direction with the potential to make practical contributions to green economic development, smart agriculture, and sustainable growth.

Introducing the digital solution ecosystem deployed in practice

In parallel with workshops and seminar activities, at the DigiExpo exhibition area, VNPT introduced numerous typical technology products and platforms in the fields of urban management, education, healthcare, agriculture, and public services.

Prominent in the field of resource and urban management is the solution suite VNPT UAV Platform and VNPT iSatLand, which combines UAV, AI, remote sensing technologies, and geographic information systems (GIS) for forest monitoring, land management, cultivation area digitization, and tracking construction activities. These solutions have been deployed in many localities such as Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, and dozens of communes/wards nationwide.

In the field of education, the STEM equipment kit from VNPT provides a hands-on learning environment with IoT, robotics, 3D printing, and mini CNC technologies, contributing to fostering creative thinking and technology skills for students. The solution has been implemented in more than 20 schools in Cao Bang and Tuyen Quang.

In the healthcare sector, VNPT introduced a digital healthcare ecosystem featuring solutions such as the AI Jarvis Med assistant supporting doctors in their professional work; the DrCare247 platform for remote healthcare and health monitoring; and the SSI Wellness solution utilizing computer vision technology to estimate health indicators contactlessly.

For agriculture, the VNPT Green platform along with IoT/AIoT solutions support the digitization of production processes, planting area management, and agricultural product traceability. Right in Dong Nai, VNPT Green is being deployed to assist cooperatives in Tan Loi commune in managing 160 farming households, while also supporting the management of banana growing areas in Trang Bom.

In addition, GenAI Robot solutions supporting citizens in searching and guiding administrative procedures, and the Digital Museum applying 3D technology, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) also attracted keen interest at the exhibition.

A common feature of the solutions introduced by VNPT is their applicability to specific problems of each sector and field, aiming to improve management efficiency, optimize resources, and generate practical value for citizens and businesses.

Partnering with Dong Nai to realize digital transformation goals

An important highlight at DigiFest Dong Nai 2026 was the commitment to accompany the deployment of a comprehensive digital transformation pilot model at the ward/commune level.

Within the framework of the closing ceremony, VNPT Group, along with the National Digital Transformation Authority, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai, and the Institute for Innovation and Digital Transformation, pledged to implement the pilot model in Binh Phuoc Ward and Dai Phuoc Commune. The implementation results will serve as the basis for evaluation and recommendations for area-wide replication before 31/3/2027.

This activity represents a shift from strategic discussions and solution showcases to coordinated implementation of specific models, linking digital transformation with local practical needs and conditions.

With the capacity to research, develop, and deploy an ecosystem of digital technology solutions across multiple fields, VNPT-IT continues to affirm its role as the core technology unit of VNPT Group, ready to accompany Dong Nai in formulating and implementing the Digital Transformation Project for the period 2027–2030, with a vision to 2035.
