In his presentation, VNPT outlined the current status and bottlenecks in the management of various sectors such as Construction, Transportation, Industry and Trade, and Culture, Sports, and Tourism, while also proposing solutions for building sectoral databases. Furthermore, VNPT emphasized its proposals and commitment to cooperating with the Departments of Information & Communications, Departments of Industry and Trade, Departments of Construction, and other relevant agencies in the South Central and Central Highlands regions, as well as nationwide, to implement digital transformation tasks, leveraging VNPT’s strengths.

During the conference, Mr. Sơn also participated in a panel discussion, directly addressing challenges and proposing solutions for digital economic development with representatives from other departments and businesses. Responding to a question about VNPT's experience in implementing local sectoral databases, Mr. Sơn shared that VNPT begins by researching relevant regulations and decrees.

"When deploying sectoral data, one must recognize that the overall picture of sectoral databases within ministries and departments remains unclear, despite the existence of established frameworks and indicators," Mr. Sơn said.

Mr. Sơn elaborated that VNPT’s approach varies depending on the ministry or sector. For example, in the construction sector, VNPT works closely with the Ministry of Construction and experts, forming specialized teams to address specific issues in the short, medium, and long term, focusing on prioritized problems.

At the conference, VNPT presented a paper titled "Digital Transformation in the Cooperative Economy and Agricultural Value Chains for Sustainable Green Agricultural Development," delivered by Mr. Dương Trọng Hải from VNPT Agri Digital Agriculture Center. In his presentation, Mr. Hải highlighted various challenges in agricultural production, such as the small-scale operations of farming households, lack of production techniques, and quality standards. Other issues include unstable market demand ("bumper crops with low prices"), high input costs, and difficulties in controlling input quality. Additionally, output companies face inconsistent product quality and weak commitments in value chain linkages. VNPT’s solution is the VNPT Digital Agriculture Ecosystem, which brings value to various stakeholders in the agricultural value chain, including farming households, cooperatives, output companies, scientists, experts, and government agencies.

The conference contributed to raising awareness about the role of the digital economy, creating a forum for exchanging and sharing successful models and best practices for digital economic development in the region. It also served as a bridge between digital transformation service providers, local authorities, businesses, and the public, thereby promoting the development of the digital economy and digital transformation in the South Central and Central Highlands regions.
