VNPT Green connects Vietnam and Japan at the Vietnam–Japan Cooperation Forum 2026

From the exhibition space at the Forum to a field visit to Vinh Loc Melon Cooperative, VNPT Green, Tomofarm and NTT eMOI connected digital technology, production models and opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products to reach international markets.

On September 5–6, 2026, the Vietnam–Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 took place in Hue under the theme ‘Vietnam–Japan Local Cooperation: Creating a Digital, Green and Sustainable Future — From Strategic Commitments to Concrete Action’. Jointly organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hue City and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the event brought together representatives of ministries, local authorities, organizations and businesses from both countries.

At the Forum, VNPT Green shared an exhibition booth with Niinuma Tomofarm and NTT eMOI, presenting modern agricultural solutions and the use of digital technology in production monitoring and management, while connecting Vietnamese businesses with Japanese experience, standards and markets.

Bringing digital agriculture closer to Vietnamese and Japanese partners

At the booth, VNPT Green used display screens and visual presentations of its digital agriculture ecosystem to help visitors understand how technology supports each stage of agricultural production and management.

VNPT Green is designed as a comprehensive digital transformation platform for agriculture, connecting data and activities across businesses, certification bodies, cooperatives and farming households. Together with Tomofarm and NTT eMOI, the booth became a meeting point for digital technology, Japanese agricultural experience, practical production models and the cooperation needs of local authorities and businesses.

Beyond introducing solutions, the exhibition space enabled direct discussions about agricultural production challenges, from managing growing areas and meeting standards to improving the quality and value of agricultural products.

From the exhibition booth to the production site

One highlight of the program was a visit to Vinh Loc Melon Cooperative in Hue with Mr. Minowa Yuya, CEO of Niinuma Tomofarm.

Taking Japanese partners directly to the production site moved the discussion of cooperation from presentations to practical experience. At the cooperative, the delegation explored melon-growing processes, greenhouse production and the practical requirements of production management.

The visit also provided a basis for discussing digital technology adoption, quality control and the gradual connection of Vietnamese agricultural products with international markets.

From production management to market access

A key element of cooperation between VNPT Green and Niinuma Tomofarm is the direct connection between production and the market. VNPT Green provides the platform for management and quality control, while Niinuma Tomofarm supports agricultural purchasing and supply-chain connections.

Under this model, cooperatives, businesses and production areas can use VNPT Green to manage cultivation processes, monitor quality and output, and trace product origins. This data allows Niinuma Tomofarm to assess and select products that meet requirements, bringing them into the supply chain with a view to the Japanese market.

Alongside the management platform, Japanese partners provide support on market requirements and cultivation techniques, helping farming households, cooperatives and businesses adjust production processes for different agricultural products. The model aims to narrow the gap between market expectations and actual production, progressively improving compliance with the standards required for Vietnamese agricultural products to enter international markets.

Working together for digital, green and sustainable agriculture

VNPT Green’s participation in the Vietnam–Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 created practical connections between technology, local authorities, businesses and markets.

As a digital agriculture platform, VNPT Green continues to connect local authorities, businesses, cooperatives and international partners, supporting agricultural models that are more digital, greener and higher in value, and expanding opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products in international markets.

From a screen at the exhibition booth to a field visit at a production site, each interaction opened another opportunity to bring technology closer to agriculture and turn Vietnam–Japan partnerships into concrete courses of action.
